Steering Board

GIACOMO PARIGI (Project Coordinator) | UNIFI

His research interests are mainly oriented to the analysis of the relaxometric profiles of paramagnetic systems, including potential MRI contrast agents, and biomolecules, and to the study of NMR effects related to paramagnetism.

DANUTA KRUK | UWM

Physicist, her research interests comprise theory of spin resonances and relaxation processes, dynamics of macromolecular systems, liquids and glass forming systems, spin relaxation processes in condensed matter and solids, transport properties in liquid and solid electrolytes, relaxation processes in paramagnetic and superparamagnetic systems.

SOPHIE LAURENT | UMONS

Her research activities are focused on the fields of contrast agents (synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of lanthanide complexes and para or superparamagnetic nanoparticles) intended for molecular imaging.

PEDRO SEBASTIAO | IST

His reasearch interests comprise the relaxometry study of many different materials under different physical conditions, e.g. liquid crystals, ionic liquids, dendrimers, polymers, nano confined organic materials, polymer blends and nano composites.

RALF LUDWIG | UROS

Professor of Physical chemistry, his major scientific activities are in the field of clusters, liquids and solutions.

FABIEN FERRAGE | ENS

His main focus is on NMR methodology particularly the development of new methods and instruments for the exploration of biomolecular dynamics by NMR relaxation. Among recent developments, he studies protein dynamics from low-magnetic field nuclear spin relaxation, by a technique called high-resolution relaxometry.

GIANNI FERRANTE | STELAR

CEO of Stelar, an independent Italian company specialized in scientific instrumentation for Magnetic Resonance. Stelar introduced an innovative method and instrumentation for a novel measuring technique in NMR relaxometry.

Zsolt Baranyai | BRACCO

Head of the Bracco Research Center in Trieste. Bracco is an international Group active in the healthcare sector and a leader in diagnostic imaging.

LEONID GRUNIN | RS

Leading Scientist at Resonance Systems GmbH, his major scientific interest is expanding areas of Low-Field NMR applications.

ERKKI LÄHDERANTA | LUT

His field of specialization is semiconductors and magnetism, and he is deeply familiar with nanocarbon; his research interests include spintronics, superconductivity and dendrimers.

LIONEL BROCHE | UNIABDN

World-leading in the development of large-band, field-cycling imaging scanners, he is currently developing a new imaging technology derived from MRI. This provides unique insights on the pathological remodelling of tissues during the progression of diseases, with exciting applications in medicine.

ANGELO GALANTE | UNIVAQ

Interested in new technology development in the field of Medical Physics and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including hardware design, sequences development, data analysis

MARCO FRAGAI | CIRMMP

His studies are focused on the development of solution and solid-state NMR methodologies for the characterization of both drug targets and biological drugs and vaccines.
